After building the mantle, the room was a little plain! Adding the box molding added so much dimension to our family room!🧡

The floors were the last thing I needed to replace! We were redoing the wood floors on our whole main floor, and the original plan was to continue the new wood into the 1/2 bath!
.

After going to the southern Utah Parade of Homes, I noticed almost every home had fun tile in the bathrooms!
.
.
I decided to do this charcoal penny tile🩶 and it was actually pretty easy!
Tips-
1. Use gray mortar when using darker grout!
2. Remove toilet (less cuts & looks better)!
3. Use sanded caulk at toilet base (same color as grout)!
.
.

I wanted the look of a concrete fireplace mantle, but didn’t want to pay thousands of dollars! I also never liked the dimensions of the mantle that my builder built!
.

I used 3/4” MDF and added a Roman clay finish to give it a stone look!
.
.
This was my first time laying tile and now I’ve decided to do charcoal penny tile in one of our bathrooms! It was easier than I thought it would be!
.
.
I wanted to remodel the fireplace while we were getting new floors installed so the hearth would seamlessly transition into the wood—and it worked!

Our builder grade closet wasn’t cutting it anymore! There was too much unused and disorganized space!
•
My son knocked out the old shelves and we replaced them with laminate shelving from @loweshomeimprovement that we cut to size. We added shelf pin holes for adjustable shelves! I built the drawers, added the closet rods, and now he has SO MUCH MORE STORAGE!!!🙌🏽
